Bridgerton

When the diamond of the season expected to find a husband and a reluctant duke decide to strike a deal to help each other, will they realize that love wont be thwarted?

This story is part 1 of a series that is based on the life of the Bridgerton Family, who have 8 children. Daphne, who is the oldest among the women, is extremely beautiful and, according to the culture of 18th Century Britain, is expected to find a suitable husband soon. However, she soon realizes that it’s not easy to find a good husband, even if she is deemed the diamond of the season. She decides to ask the Duke Of Hastings, Simon, who also needs help escaping marriage-crazy mothers, to pretend to court her. That starts a tale of these two thinking that they are fooling the society. What they both do not realize, however, is that, without meaning to, they start falling for each other. Will both of them wake up in time to see that all they need is each other?

I loved the story. Honestly, I liked the books that the story is based off of which is written by Julia Quinn even better. But, they did add certain elements which were quite different from the original book that made the drama fun to watch. I absolutely loved the chemistry between the leads. You can literally feel the burning tension between them. Also, I liked the characterization, the storyline and the loving bonds of family that this story showcased. So, if you are someone who is fond of stories of romances set in the backdrop of 18th Century England, then you will love this one. One caveat though is that there are 2 seasons of this drama with an expectation of more seasons soon. Each season is a separate romance story of the Bridgerton Family. They are all connected, yet none of the ending of the stories feel incomplete. So, be fearless and go for this one!
