Panchayat

When an engineering graduate joins as secretary of village head due to lack of other opportunities, hilarious ensues as he tries to adjust to village life!

This story follows the life of a man who just graduated from college and is searching for job opportunities. When the only thing he finds is the job of being the secretary to the head of a remote village, he has no option but to take it. The rest of the story continues as he comes to the village and hilarity ensues as he tries to adjust to the village life and its people.

I loved this one. This drama gave a true representation of how village life looks like in India. The love and the warmth of the people who consider you just like extended family, when you live in a village, was beautifully portrayed in this one. Also, this drama did not gloss over the problems faced in a village. It portrayed both the good and the bad in a comedic way, which made this one a true masterpiece. I could literally feel the village culture of India, sitting miles away from the country. One caveat though, the second season ends on a sad note while the first season ends on a happy note. So, if you want to watch a happy ending, only watch season 1. Overall, if you are someone who does enjoy watching stories that make you laugh your heart out and at the same time, leave you feeling nostalgic for home, then you will love this one.
