Till the End of the Moon

When the only way to stop the evil lord is to kill him before he becomes powerful, will the woman succeed, or will their love lead to the end of the world?

This drama follows the life of a woman who is a carefree disciple of one of the most powerful sects in ancient times. However, soon news of the evil lord annihilating sect after sect reaches her ears. When he finally comes for her sect and kills her entire family, she decides to use the secret artifact of her sect and go back in time, to kill the powerful evil lord before he has a chance to gain his powers. However, all her plans go to hell when she finds herself pitying the state of the so-called evil lord in the past. Hating him for something he hasn’t done yet and pitying him simultaneously for his present state, she has no idea what to make of her life. Things get even more complicated when she finds that love and hate do indeed have a very thin line between them. Is it really a story of good overcoming bad or this story spanning over 3 lives is saying something else altogether? Watch to find out.

My Review….

The story in this drama is pretty well constructed and definitely worth watching. The scenes too are shot beautifully and artistically. Also, the versatility of all the actors to play completely diverse roles in a drama spanning more than 3 lifetimes was commendable indeed. However, I never enjoy stories with sad endings, since it feels like such a waste of emotions if it ends on a sad or incomplete note. Thus, even though the acting of the leads was pretty damn awesome, and I loved the concept of a love-hate story spanning over 3 lifetimes for them, I felt quite disappointed watching the end. One would expect that, looking at how much pain and sadness they went through, at least it would be worth it in the end. But, in order for the greater good to prevail, the amount of sacrifices they both did was both praiseworthy and disheartening to the audience. Thus, I cannot in good faith recommend this drama, but if you are someone who doesn’t mind sad endings, then this is a story you shouldn’t miss!
