Can a royal inspector and a talented woman constable set aside their differences to find justice for the wronged?

This Chinese drama is set in history in a time, when corruption was rampant in the world. It follows a Stoic, dedicated noble who is sanctioned by the emperor himself to find the culprits responsible for the corruption, and an extremely sharp and talented woman constable who defies all social norms of her time. When they both meet, after a few initial hurdles, they realize that they work well as a team and the rest of the story follows how they hunt down the crafty criminals and grow to gradually care about each other.

This is quite an awesome drama. Not just because, the story is a little different from the usual ones, but because this is one of the very few dramas which show both male and female characters as strong and resilient without feeling the need to make one look very weak in order to increase the strength in the other. I found this to be very refreshing. The acting of the actors is spot on and the storyline itself is nicely drafted. Overall, it’s a good watch!

The originality of the plot: The plot is kind of original, but the story is pretty enjoyable and keeps you hooked.

Acting of main protagonists: The chemistry between the leads is a slow burn, but it’s intense.
