To Ship Someone

When a pessimistic young writer with a penchant for bad endings meets a woman who ships his book’s characters fervently, will she change his outlook?

This drama follows the life of a woman who is an avid reader and loves the story written by her favorite author. However, he is naturally pessimistic and does not believe in happy endings. As a result, the lead characters she ships so obsessively, are meant to be separated as the plot progresses. But, she convinces the team leader of her company to let her make a deal with the author, so they can develop the story into a webtoon with a better ending. However, when she comes face to face with the author, she finds it incredibly difficult to convince him to sign the copyright form. Things get even more complicated when she is somehow transported into the very story she loves. Will she be able to survive and make him change the way he looks at life? Watch to find out!

My Review….

I didn’t hate this drama but didn’t love it. The male lead was kind of one-dimensional in the sense that he was stoic, pessimistic, and had the entire world’s burden on his shoulders. While the female lead was obsessive and frankly, a little crazy. On the one hand, I did laugh a lot in this drama, so it wasn’t all bad. On the other hand, this wasn’t a story that really impressed me. The plot wasn’t new and didn’t need to have a parallel book universe in it, which made no logical sense whatsoever. So, if you want a light-hearted story that makes you laugh due to the main couple’s interactions, you can give this one a try. But, if you are someone who wants to watch a great story, then it might be best to skip it. I leave the decision up to you.
