The King’s Affection

When a woman who has to impersonate her twin brother who was the king to maintain peace in her kingdom, falls in love with her minister, will they ever have a future together?

This story follows the life of a princess who is born with her twin brother in the Joseon period, where the birth of twins was considered to be a dark omen. When her brother is killed and her mother forces her to take his place and impersonate him, her life changes forever. She sacrifices her femininity and starts living as the king of Joseon. However, things get challenging for her, when she falls for one of her ministers. Their love is forbidden, their future uncertain. How they deal with the dangers around them and find a solution to all their problems is what forms the rest of the story.

I really enjoyed this drama. It had a great story, amazing actors, and beautiful relationships. If you are someone who enjoys historical romance where the female lead and male lead are strong in their own ways and complement each other extremely well, then this would be a great watch for you!
