Parallel World

When a woman with amnesia joins hands with a man who might be her one way of finding out her true identity, will she succeed?

This drama follows the life of a woman who finds herself hanging from a tree in the middle of a desert with no memory of who she is. Finding the image of a woman in a camera next to her, she begins to search for someone who might know the woman. Her journey takes her to a man who is essentially in hiding since he has lost his fiancé and friends in a desert storm, leaving him the only survivor. His guilt and pain is eating him alive. Convincing him to join her on her desert expedition to find out who she is and how she is connected to his dead fiancé, they embark on the journey that might just change everything they thought they knew about the world. Will they find what they are looking for or will it end in disaster? Watch to find out.

My Review….

This was a truly unique drama. It gave vibes of Tomb Raider meets Supernatural. The story wasn’t bad, frankly, but it wasn’t perfect either. The story started out very well, but towards the second half, it lost its momentum and began to deviate a little. Also, the mystery in this story was a little predictable and the ending for one of the side couples made no sense. But, this can be easily ignored because there were a lot of good things about this drama that compensated for the plot development. I especially loved how strong and independent the female lead was in the story. Her badass attitude and never-fear-what-may-come spirit were a true delight to watch. The male lead too was quite an unconventional character who stuck to his values even when others around him didn’t. In fact, the chemistry between the leads was great yet subtle. Their interactions, the way they teased each other, were quite beautifully shown. The cinematography too, of this drama wherein it showed desert and parallel worlds, was quite arresting. So, if you are someone who is a fan of adventures in a desert world with a dash of supernatural and parallel worlds in it, you can give this one a try. However, if you are someone who does not like this genre too much, then skip it. I leave the decision up to you.
