Legend of Fei

Can a fearless young heroine and a crafty martial art expert learn to trust each other and fight the evil forces to save the world?

This drama revolves around the life of a young woman who lives on a remote mountain with her mother. Her mother is the leader of her people and is the best martial artist in the world. Though they are not very close, she aspires to be as good a fighter as her mother and pines to leave the mountain to embark on her own journey. One day, she catches an intruder on the mountain who turns out to be someone who is extremely smart, sly and good at escaping. As it turns out, both of them have the same goal and want to save the world in their own ways. When they both embark on the adventure of their lives to fight for the good of the world, they start to respect and understand each other. Gradually, they develop a camaraderie unlike anything they have known before and when it changes to love, they are left astounded.

In short, I absolutely loved this drama. This is one of the two dramas that I have ever watched, which has succeeded in creating strong female characters without feeling the need to downgrade the male protagonist to a mellowed down, weak and pathetic version of himself. Here, both the leads are equally strong in their own ways and complement each other perfectly. Their initial apprehension, when it changes to friendship and eventually to love, is a beautifully crafted journey which will leave you wanting for more. Their kind of love is a perfect example of a love that may not be obvious to others, but has a depth of understanding and care that transcends everything. I highly recommend that you don’t skip this one. This is an awesome story with stunning views and fabulous acting, and should definitely be on your next binge-watch list!
