Bromance

Can a woman, who has been forced to dress like a man due to the superstition of her family, be able to live her own life when she meets her perfect partner?

This drama follows the life of a woman who is forced to live like a man due to superstition in her family for 25 years. When she saves the son of the mafia triad, and his sister falls for him, mistaking her to be a boy, her life gets more complicated than she anticipated. On one hand, trying to protect her identity and on the other, falling for the very man she saved, will she be able to figure out what and who she truly wants?

Frankly, this wasn’t a bad story. I liked the fact that this drama showcased that love does transcend genders, and that is completely fine, even though some people do not see it that way. This wasn’t a true “bromance” though. This was really a tale of love between a girl who is forced to pretend to be a man due to her family, and, a man who is the leader of a triad and has not been able to trust someone due to who he is. Another good thing about this one was the fact that the girl, when she pretended to be a man, really looked like a man. This helped since in a lot of stories where women pretend to be men, as the audience, we always think that it should be pretty obvious that she is a girl. This is not the case here. Further, how they complete each other and their journey from friendship to love is a tale worth watching. One caveat though, is that in the beginning, this story is a little slow, so you might have to be patient a little bit, but I was not disappointed in the end. So, if you are someone who enjoys such stories, then definitely go for this one.
