Before We Get Married
When two people, who are supposed to be in “perfect” relationships with their partners, meet and begin to feel attracted, is it just lust or is it something more?
This drama follows the life of two people who are in committed relationships. On paper, their lives should be perfect. However, there seems to be something that is bothering them both about their respective relationships that they never voice out. When they meet and a fierce attraction draws them closer, will they give in to their mad lust for each other, or will they stay true to their partners?
I did not like the story in this drama. The idea of infidelity has always been something that, personally, I have never liked, and the way this drama normalizes that, made me extremely uncomfortable. The drama, however, does have explosive chemistry between the leads., But the way they refuse to at least break up with their partners even after cheating on them, made me extremely annoyed. This was essentially a tale of two people who were never happy or satisfied in their relationships. Instead of doing the right thing and breaking up with their partners when they found someone else, they chose comfort over love. They repeatedly cheated on their partners and justified it. The entire relationship became fucked up before it, even had the opportunity to be beautiful. So, for me, apart from the physical chemistry between the leads, nothing else held any attraction. In the end, they did manage to do the right thing, but I still did not like the story as a whole. I will say, skip this one if you feel equally uncomfortable watching two people having a fucked up relationship and ruining all 4 lives in the process!
